The best way to search & download Sentinel data
The portal IPSentinel - "Portuguese infrastructure for storing and providing images of Sentinel satellites", allows free and open access to data from Sentinel satellites obtained for the Portuguese territory including the area of responsibility for search and rescue in the Atlantic.
The implementation of the IPSentinel infrastructure is born from the implementation of the project with the same name, executed through a close partnership between the Direção-Geral do Território (DGT) and the Instituto Português do Mar e Atmosfera (IPMA), promoted by the Direção-Geral de Política do Mar (DGPM) through the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA Grants).
This initiative corresponds to an action integrated in the policy of active participation of Portugal in the European Earth observation program Copernicus, namely in its Collaborative Soil Segment (CollGS). Coordination of the program is the responsibility of the European Commission and operation of the space component is the responsibility of the European Space Agency (ESA).

O portal IPSentinel - “Infraestrutura portuguesa para armazenamento e disponibilização de imagens dos satélites Sentinel”, permite o acesso aberto e gratuito a dados dos satélites Sentinel obtidos para o território português incluindo a área de responsabilidade de busca e salvamento no Atlântico.
A implementação da infraestrutura IPSentinel nasce da realização do projeto com o mesmo nome, executado através de uma estreita parceria entre a Direção-Geral do Território (DGT) e o Instituto Português do Mar e Atmosfera (IPMA), promovido pela Direção-Geral de Política do Mar (DGPM) através do Mecanismo Financeiro do Espaço Económico Europeu (EEA Grants).
Esta iniciativa corresponde a uma ação integrada na política de participação ativa de Portugal no Programa Europeu de Observação da Terra Copernicus, nomeadamente no seu Segmento Colaborativo de Solo (CollGS). A coordenação do programa é da responsabilidade da Comissão Europeia e a operacionalização da componente espaço está a cargo da Agência Espacial Europeia (ESA).
IPSentinel is based on a Scientifc Data Hub system (DHuS) of ESA, available in open source software.
At present, it is possible to download data from the Portuguese territory (including the search and rescue area in the Atlantic) from the Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 and future Sentinel-3 satellites from the IPSentinel portal. To get products from other regions of the globe you can do it here.
IPSentinel é baseado no sistema Scientifc Data Hub (DHuS) da ESA, disponibilizado em software de código livre.
Actualmente, é possível descarregar do portal IPSentinel os dados sobre o território português (incluindo a área de responsabilidade de busca e salvamento no Atlântico) dos satélites Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2 e futuramente Sentinel-3. Para obter produtos de outras regiões do globo pode fazê-lo aqui.
Santa Maria Ground Station Sentinel-1 fast access.
IPSentinel allows quick access to Sentinel-1 satellite data received by the Santa Maria (Azores) collaborative station, managed by EDISOFT.
This collaborative station is the first station to obtain data from the national territory that will only later be available from the ESA repository.
Estação de Santa Maria Acesso rápido ao Sentinel-1.
O IPSentinel permite o acesso rápido aos dados do satélite Sentinel-1 recebidos pela estação colaborativa de Santa Maria (Açores), gerida pela empresa EDISOFT.
Esta estação colaborativa é a primeira estação a obter dados do território nacional que apenas mais tarde estarão disponíveis a partir do repositório da ESA.
Copernicus supports a wide variety of domains.
The Sentinel Sentinel satellites are the result of the latest Earth Observation missions developed by ESA under the Copernicus program in its Space Component.
The objective is to meet the requirements of the Copernicus Program in different areas of Earth Observation: Atmosphere, Ocean or Land Use. In this way the previous missions (eg ENVISAT) are replaced guaranteeing the continuity in obtaining products and providing data of better quality, that can be used in the most diverse applications and services.

Os satélites Sentinel são fruto das missões de última geração de Observação da Terra desenvolvidas pela ESA no âmbito do programa Copernicus na sua Componente Espaço.
O objetivo é dar resposta aos requisitos do Programa Copernicus, em diferentes áreas da Observação da Terra: Atmosfera, Oceano ou Uso de Solo (Land Monitoring). Desta forma as missões anteriores (ex. ENVISAT) são substituídas garantindo a continuidade na obtenção de produtos e fornecendo dados de melhor qualidade, que podem ser usados nas mais diversas aplicações e serviços.
